Climate Change

Policies that address the issues identified by people from Hindmarsh Ward
“Be part of the change you want to see” on issues related to Climate Change. 

2019 – as part of the National Emergency Leader for Climate Action, we wrote to the (then) Prime Minister recommending he take urgent action. The subsequent fire season was exacerbated by a lack of Federal government action. Despite a growing awareness of this imperative, there is still lots to do, and local initiatives are essential. 2022 – as part of a team that put together the national strategy for Just Adaptation. Through Future Earth Australia, a part of the National Academy of Science the strategy plots a way forward for Australian adaptation to climate change.
